Sustainable materials
ORGANIC COTTON
Less is more: Our organic cotton is grown using 62% less energy and up to 91% less water than usual - and 0% toxic chemicals. The cotton is grown under ethical conditions, using only natural fertilizers.
If you choose a piece made of organic cotton, you are choosing to treat nature with respect and ensure fair working conditions on the cotton plantations.

RDS-CERTIFIED DOWN AND FEATHERS
To protect animals: The feathers and down that we use for our products come from animals that are kept in ethically sound conditions. The globally valid "Responsible Down Standard" for down places particular emphasis on animal welfare.
If you choose an item with RDS, you are choosing ethical and humane farming of geese and ducks. By the way: In addition to RDS, we are increasingly using recycled, sustainable imitation down.

FSC-CERTIFIED VISCOSE
Garments made from FSC-certified viscose were once a tree – yes, really! It grew in a sustainably managed forest, free from genetically modified plants.
When you choose these garments, you are choosing to protect biodiversity in forests and the natural habitat of thousands of plants and animals.

RECYCLED MATERIALS
Already loved: These pieces were once something different and have been reinvented by us. Recycling wool, cotton, polyester and nylon fibers and giving them a new life is more sustainable than producing new textiles.
If you choose products made from recycled materials, you avoid the use of chemicals and energy that would be required to produce new fibers.
ORGANIC BASICS
Timeless, sustainable, fair: Our popular basics have been sustainable since July 2021 - from the first to the last step. This means that we use certified organic cotton, environmentally friendly viscose and high-quality denim twill from the traditional Candiani weaving mill for our diverse T-shirts, sweaters, blazers, trousers and jeans. When growing the organic cotton, 62% less energy and up to 91% less water than usual were used - and 0% toxic chemicals.

To guarantee production and reduce our ecological footprint. The Rich & Royal Basics are manufactured in Europe by our long-standing partner companies in Portugal and Greece. We share the same conviction with them: to develop products with the highest quality standards and to assume social and ecological responsibility.
Product lifecycle
We also love our planet. Out of appreciation for the resources and the creation of our products, we would never throw away unsold items. It has always been this way and always will be this way.
What happens to unsold goods? They are given another chance during seasonal sales and in our five outlet locations in Germany. We also donate products to regional institutions, such as the women's shelters in Heilbronn or the free Christian community of Bietigheim-Bissingen, which supports families in need in developing and emerging countries.
