Liberty Fabrics – original British design since 1875
Shortly after opening in Regent Street in London in 1875, Arthur Liberty became known for its silk fabrics.
In the 1890s, Liberty was synonymous with the best that avant-garde textile design had to offer.
Today, every bolt of Liberty fabric is the result of a tailor-made production process: hand-drawn
or painted by the in-house design team in Soho, London.
Transformed into fabric in Liberty's own Italian printing plant near Lake Como.
Liberty fabrics are made by experienced
Manufactured by technicians who oversee the production of over 300 different designs per year.

Hand-painted in the Liberty design studio, the prints are a vibrant and versatile work of art inspired by the bold patterns popular with dandies in the 1970s. This all-over climbing floral pattern combines a daring aesthetic with artistic expression, drawing on traditional Arts and Crafts motifs.
